Hi! My name is Katrina Overfield. I’m based in Chicago, Illinois, and I'm an emerging tech entrepreneur and financial professional dedicated to uplifting and supporting local communities and families.

I’m passionate about delivering a personalized and effective experience for my clients—both in my current role and through my business ventures. I work one-on-one with clients, continuously refining strategies to help them achieve their goals and meet their needs. My hope is to one day empower a community where local businesses are technologically equipped to battle for their place in our community easily.

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
Completing a Bachelors (B.S.) in Finance with a 3.47 GPA. During my time at UIUC I became a part of both ALPFA (Association of Latino Proffessionals For America) and NAMI (National Association for Mental Illness). With ALPFA I partook in the Philanthropy and Mentorship committee. Within NAMI I became the Volunteer chair, and led the first Volunteer-Advocacy committee. Within the community I volunteered at both the local Food Pantry and Soup Kitchen.

City Colleges of Chicago - Wilbur Wright
Completing an Associates (A.A) in Economics with a GPA of 3.69. I graduated with an Honors Program completion and as a member of Phi Theta Kappa. During my time at Wilbur Wright I joined as a member and served as President of the Great Books Student Society and Assistant Editor to the Student Journal. Within those roles I both organized events that combined historical literature with current events and edited multiple papers on Great Books which went for publication.

Working as a Financial Strategist I am fortunate to have the ability to offer my clients a quick financial education to help explain what we are trying to assist them with. Then working alongside the client we figure out a plan that accounts current needs and goals. Should there be requests or questions which I cannot fulfill directly, I communicate with my team in a timely manner.

In my role as Global Commercial Finance Intern I had multiple responsibilities which consisted of a mix of receiving information and consolidating it for reports and slide decks to present to higher level officers. To elevate my teams efficiency I upgraded a former system through automations and diverse formulas in smartsheets to create an easier format for different regions to pass necessary information.
